Performed 100% remote intense support for Apria Healthcare on behalf of Dell/Perot Systems. End user support for hundreds of interfaces spread out amongst multiple products, including JDEdwards, Ariba, ADP, SAP, etc. Fixed JVM issues with BCI, performed analysis regarding their LSF901 WAS 7 x64 horizontal scaling, troubleshooting on day 1. Applications 901 integration with MSP#6 and the hundreds of modifications.

Horizontally and Vertically Scaled (multi-node) largely unique Lawson environment (BCI, Processflow,end-product integration including JD Edwards, Ariba, Customized VAX VMS Interfaces, etc.), as well as a highly customized Application Base (901 MSP#6 heavy modifications to materials management. Roadmaps AIX 7.1 Upgrade for Dell/Apria (inclusive of LSF901 ESP#9). Implemented high visibility (board of directors) project concerning Apria Month End Automation. Using a variety of tools, the monthend process was automated end-to-end (broken up into multiple phases, including pre-monthend work backups, process restarts, etc., monthend work roughly 150 jobs required to complete, and post-monthend work server restarts, quarter-end inventory control processing, security restore, etc.)

The LSF9 migration will consist of a cross-platform change (going from Solaris 10 hardware to an IBM AIX 5.3 RS6000 P570 P6). Will be vertically scaling the WebSphere Application Servers (3 Clustered AS, with 1024/2048gb of dedicated memory), Will be assisting JPMC (long term client) remotely throughout this LSF9 Migration, with onsite GoLive assistance. Set forth JPMC's Lawson roadmap, presented to JPMC key personnel (CIO, Director of IT, and Power Users responsible for each suite within the Lawson ERP). Performed numerous troubleshooting and knowledge transfer activities after the upgrade was complete, all at no charge to JPMC.

LSF9 Environment and LSF9 Application Upgrade. Lead Technical Architect. Performed hardware sizing/tuning on an IBM RS/6000 P570 server (designed and implemented LPAR), Oracle RDBMS setup/installation/tuning (9i to 11g upgrade), OS tuning (AIX 6.1), 803 ESP#7 -> LSF9005 Migration, the LSF9005 -> LSF9015 in-place upgrade, and the 803 MSP12 -> LSF9013 Applications triple-skip upgrade. Initial efforts include environment stabilization, problem resolution/troubleshooting, and LSF9 Roadmapping (software, hardware, infrastructure, resources, etc.). Heavy customizations to the legacy Lawson applications (803 MSP#8), and Web Front End components (Employee and Manager Self Service Centers). Prepared new guidelines for future use of MOA (Addins), Source Code Modifications (core vs. non-core modifications), Served from time to time as a liaison between CSC and Newmont personnel. Co-presenter (with Jerry Anhaut of Lawson Software). We will be demonstrating a series of real-time tests, exhibiting the behavior of LSF9 (as implemented in a horizontally & vertically scaled configuration). This presentation will cover configuration of all components required to achieve this architecture (including supported OS requirements, Websphere Clustering, and LSF9 requirements (shared file systems, and Data RDBMS ). At the end of the presentation, we'll demo, in real-time how LSF9 works in a scaled environment when both hardware and software fail! Build out the VM (windows 2003 r2, lsf9004 environment, lsf9004 applications, Microsoft ADAM, etc.) VM was used at more than 6 different presentations!

Memorial Hermann

High Visibility Project at the request of Lawson Software's current Vice President of the Healthcare Vertical, rescued an LSF9 migration (803 to 900) and Application Upgrade (803->900 skip). Performed both high level project management activities, and low-level, detail oriented work. Identified conversion problems, incorrect legacy setup, and problem resolution. Addressed LDAP (Tivoli Directory Services) changes via batch scripting (perl code referencing TDS's ldapmodify utility). DSSO Configuration, LDAPBIND against multiple domain implementation, HTTPS across-the-board configuration and implementation. Set forth a project plan to assist Memorial Hermann with multiple passes for the migration efforts (including restore-points, to allow a seamless reset of the LSF9 base installation. Assisted with identifying bottlenecks of the APPLICATION DOUBLE UPGRADE (803 to 810, 810 to 900 hint many indexes need to be dropped, but not all of them!) Most work performed remotely, during off hours!

Senior Technical Lawson Lead and Systems Architect Enormous implementation involving a 48 Hospital Rollout to a centralized Lawson System. Served as technical infrastructure lead and sounding board for CHI's Steering Committee. Performed installs, upgrades, and conversions of Lawson Applications (8.1 MSP#5, MSP#6), Lawson Applications 9.0.0.3, Lawson Environments (8.0.3 & LSF 9.0). Performed rigorous (low-level) troubleshooting efforts with regards to Lawson Applications (numerous debugging techniques, Environment, RSS, BSI, MHC, Relational Database (Oracle 10g / SQLServer 2000/2005)Performed performance tuning of Apache/Tomcat/RMI/Lawson utilizing Mercury Loadrunner. Installation, Setup, Configuration of LBI 9 (IIS/Websphere/Oracle, and IIS/Tomcat5/SQLServer installations). Infrastructure design and implementation utilizing AIX 5.3 (TL#5) in a dual webserver / shared disk mode (GPFS). Performed server sizing (hardware, disk space usage/utilization from both an Oracle and Lawson perspective). Performed ESP#6->ESP#7 upgrades amongst the 9 different environments, 27 different productlines, and 7 different AIX servers. Performed in-depth analysis of the Lawson Application Upgrade process (from 8.1.MSP#6 to 9.0.0.x), including Application and Database differences.

Performed hardware sizing and software tuning utilizing Mercury Loadrunner, and VuGen scripting (as to allow dynamic content mimicking user actions). Tuned AIX 5.3 (Web/App/DB servers), Apache 2.0.59, Tomcat 4.1.31, Lawson IOS (RMI), Lawson Env, and Oracle 10G based on the results (bottlenecks) gathered during the load process. Deployed Mercury load generators at various locations throughout the country, therein stress testing the network (as to approximate user location and response times).

Requisition Server Service. Performed RSS implementations (8.1.0.6.x, 8.1.0.50-54.x, and 9.0.0.x) as well as required Application CTP's. Large troubleshooting efforts with regards to RSS performance (spawned an internal change within Lawson in terms of RSS shifting the workload from the webserver to the appserver using localhost on the internal calls, eliminating web-to-appserver traffic), decompiled and studied RSS (8.1.0.52.14) - constant troubleshooting efforts!

Installed, configured, and assisted tuning (splitting off sections of LBI to their independent Websphere Application servers) Lawson LBI (versions 9.0.0.x thru 9.0.1.x). Performance tuning/analysis Installed, configured, and performed troubleshooting techniques (trigger errors) with Lawson PSA (versions 5.2, and corresponding Lawson Application core service packs).

Performed Websphere Application Server installation, clustering (in a horizontally & vertically scaled configuration) with both versions 6.0.x (referencing JVM 1.4.2.x) and 6.1.x (referencing the 1.5.x JVM). Performed Bouncy Castle JVM public encryption algorithm integration against multiple JVM's (including validation). Installed, configuration, and referenced both Microsoft ADAM, and DB2 as a function of determining which LDAP would be used (went with ADAM, for AD BIND reasons).

Developed countless scripts utilizing kornshell, PGP, perl (and perl modules), awk/sed/exspect/scp and other unix level utilities. LAPATCH was developed to help ease the applying of CTP's to CHI's 27 productlines (and growing). Developers could, in 1 LAPATCH command, apply multiple (anywhere from 1 to N) CTP's. LAPROP, another developed lawson admin script, was used by Lawson administrators to massively and quickly promote a custom program throughout all productlines (including productlines under different environments and physical servers). Application Development: Responsible for the initiation, planning, and implementation of Lawson human resources system including personnel administration, payroll, benefits and time accrual. Initiated, planned and implemented an accounting system for receivables and payables. Planned and implemented a mortgage pipeline risk management system. Senior Technical Lawson Lead Lawson Application Upgrade. Performed analysis as to software and hardware requirements for the Lawson 724 to 803 Application upgrade. Met and lobbied with Systems, Oracle, and hi-ranking State of Texas officials, in a no-frills, laying-it-on-the-line, fashion. Formulated 3,215 step project plan, gathered metrics, optimized upgrade, and successfully navigated Texas bureaucratic red-tape in implementing the Lawson 724 to 803 (MSP#8) Application Upgrade. Worked integrally with existing State of Texas employee's and contractors, meshing together all personalities, resulting in a successfully work environment and project implementation. Worked with hardware (IBM AIX RS6000) and Oracle 9i (9205) database. Lawson Materials Management troubleshooting (IC50/IC229/IC500). From Project Management, to Detailed Technical Analysis, to Hands-On-Work this contract called for it all! Received accommodation from State of Texas IS Manager. Application Development: Information system manager and benefits manager for 50,000 employees. Implemented Lawson employee and manager self-service systems. Developed interfaces for performance management and commission pay systems. Responsible for the implementation of a web-based time management system.
